Amazing Earth Fest - May 16-22
The Amazing Earthfest is rapidly becoming a popular event in Southern Utah. With its many different activities and adventures it is the place to be during May 16-22 in Kanab, Utah. Enjoy a few of the many guided tours or come and learn about the geology and science of some of the most beautiful works of nature in the world. During Earthfest 2010 there will be many experts in the scientific community that will teach you about the natural wonders of Southern Utah including the many state and national parks like the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon National Park, Zion's National Park, Coral Pink Sand Dunes and much more.

Jacob Hamblin - June 17-19
Jacob Hamblin, an explorer and peacemaker, is a Kanab legend. He is famous in southern Utah for navigating the Grand Canyon and also blazing trails that are still in use today. He was also well known for keeping the peace between the Indians and settlers in the area.

The annual Western Legends Round-up began in 1999 and has brought cowboys and western lovers from all over the world to this small town. The three-day event includes the Little Hollywood Film Festival featuring western movie stars (our Little Hollywood Heroes) which have included: Clint Walker, Buck Taylor, James Drury, Robert Horton, Ruth Buzzi, and Cheryl Rogers-Barnett. There is also Dutch-oven cook-offs, mountain men rendevous, action shooting, high noon long-horn cattle drive parade, live entertainment, food, crafts, a fiddle festival, western art, cowboy poetry and much, much more. Best Friends Animal Sanctuary - Animal Lover's Haven
Five miles north of Kanab in Angel's Canyon resides the home of thousands of rescued animals at the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. This no-kill clinic is one of the biggest in the country and well-known throughout the world. Volunteers travel thousands of miles for the opportunity to contribute to the mission of the great non-profit organization. One of its latest rescues included all of the abandoned and injured dogs and cats victimized by Hurricane Katrina.
